Tokyo [Japan], March 27: On March 25th, the premiere of the film "Meet Me on the Day of the Eclipse" took place in Ho Chi Minh City, attended by a host of Vietnamese stars including People's Artist Le Khanh, Hua Vi Van, Lam Vi Da - Hua Minh Dat, Tuyen Map , Thien An, Khuong Le, Thanh Son, and others.
This is a film directed by Le Thien Vien, in collaboration with producer and creative director Ly Minh Thang. Set in Vietnam in the 1990s, the film revolves around the love story between two characters, An (Thien An) and Thien (Khuong Le), and explores the theme of love intertwined with faith.
Initially, the film was titled " Love Letter to a Nun ." However, the director's decision to change it to "Meet You on the Day of the Eclipse" piqued audience curiosity. Regarding this, Le Thien Vien explained that the term "nun" might be confusing to younger, non-religious viewers. Therefore, after careful consideration, the team decided to change the title to reach a wider audience.
Playing the role of a nun in the film with Thien An was a memorable experience. The 10X beauty queen recounted that the director gave her a long pre-production period to research and prepare for the character. During that time, Thien An went to the convent to experience the life of the nuns. "The character An has her pain, and Mother Hoa also has her pain. When I became An in the film, I truly understood and felt how to protect love while still maintaining respect for my faith," she said.
Thien An also shared that the director wanted her to go completely makeup-free in the film, even having to use powder to lighten her natural lip color. "When the film was introduced to the audience, the most common comment I read was people criticizing my appearance. In this film, I mostly went makeup-free, including my eyebrows. This is a special character for me," the 10X beauty queen further revealed.
