Vietnam, October 3: Nguyen Quynh Anh (27 years old) surpassed other contestants to become the new Miss Universe Vietnam. Previously, she won first runner-up at the 2024 competition.
On the evening of October 2nd, the Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 final took place in Hai Phong, featuring 30 contestants competing in various rounds such as group performances, swimsuit presentations, evening gown presentations, and Q&A sessions to find the worthy successor to Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen. The judging panel included Miss Huong Giang, actress Bee Namthip, supermodel Xuan Lan, and Mr. Valentin Tran.
On the final night's stage, the top 30 appeared in shimmering pink dresses, confidently showcasing their dance moves to the cheers of the audience. Afterwards, they introduced themselves, their hometowns, and performed a catwalk. Some of the highly-rated candidates in this competition include Trinh Thi Hong Dang, Trinh My Anh, Quach Tapiau Mai Ly, Emma Maria Fernandez Le, Nguyen Quynh Anh, and others.
Who will be crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2026?
The organizers awarded the following special prizes: Miss Sport (Pham Thi Minh Hue), Miss Ao Dai (Trinh My Anh), Miss Charming Face (Emma Maria Fernandez Le), Miss Media (Bui Thi Mai Huong), Miss Fashion (Quach Tapiau Mai Ly - MLee), Miss Tourism (Hoang Nhu My), Miss Talent (Nguyen Dieu Huyen), Miss Best Skin (H'Duyen BKrong), and Miss Philanthropy (Nguyen Thi Hao).
Afterwards, the organizers announced the top 20 finalists, including H'Duyen BKrong, Ta Phuong Thao, Nguyen Le Phuong Linh, Nguyen Thi Hieu Ngan, Trinh Thi Hue, Quach Tapiau Mai Ly, Nguyen Thi Hao, Nguyen Dieu Huyen, Emma Maria Fernandez Le, Trinh My Anh, Nguyen Quynh Anh...
Afterward, the contestants returned to the stage for the bikini competition. This round allowed the girls to showcase their toned physiques after a period of intensive training. From here, the judges selected 11 names to continue their journey to conquer the Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 crown, including Hoang Nhu My (winner of the Best Swimsuit award), Trinh Thi Hong Dang, H'Duyen BKrong, Nguyen Dieu Huyen, Nguyen Thi Hao, Bui Thi Mai Huong, Quach Tapiau Mai Ly, Nguyen Quynh Anh, Trinh My Anh, Emma Maria Fernandez Le, and Nguyen Thi Mai Anh.
Afterwards, the top 11 returned to the stage in eye-catching, embellished evening gowns, showcasing their stage performance skills. Contestant Nguyen Dieu Huyen continued to receive the Best Evening Gown award. This was her third special award in the final night. The beauty from Tuyen Quang was also the first name to enter the top 5, along with Trinh My Anh, Trinh Thi Hong Dang, Nguyen Quynh Anh, and Emma Maria Fernandez Le. Thus, Quach Tapiau Mai Ly - a highly-rated candidate - was surprisingly absent from the list of the top 5 finalists of Miss Universe Vietnam 2026.
The top 5 contestants advanced to the Q&A round, answering questions related to women in modern society. After the Q&A session, the three most outstanding candidates were announced: Trinh My Anh, Emma Maria Fernandez Le, and Nguyen Quynh Anh. They all received the question: "If you were crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2026, but only had one year to create meaningful change for Vietnamese women, what issue would you choose and where would you start?"
Trinh My Anh said she had been nurturing a small project, stemming from past experiences, called "One More Time." According to her, not every girl has confidence when she enters society, because after setbacks, they are afraid to get up and continue. "I am lucky to have many people who support and encourage me to keep going. That's why I'm standing on this stage," she shared.
Emma Maria Fernandez Le shared that if she had the opportunity to become Miss Universe Vietnam 2026, she would want to start with small things and gradually move towards bigger things like education and health... "I believe they are also capable of building their own lives if they have access to knowledge, and support in terms of mental health, health, and finances. When more people know about it, I believe each family will have a better home. One person can't do it all, but if we spread the word, we can all do it," the contestant answered.
Quynh Anh said that if she wins, she wants to use her voice and actions to help disadvantaged women and children have the opportunity to express themselves and live authentically. "I want to have my own workshop to teach catwalk skills and listen to their aspirations in life. The class isn't about turning them into models, but about helping them build confidence and dare to live true to themselves," the Hanoi beauty shared.
After several rounds of competition, Nguyen Quynh Anh was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2026. Meanwhile, the titles of first, second, third, and fourth runner-up went to Trinh My Anh, Emma Maria Fernandez Le, Nguyen Dieu Huyen, and Trinh Thi Hong Dang, respectively.
Nguyen Quynh Anh was born in 1999 and hails from Hanoi. She impressed with her strong performance skills and striking physique, standing at 1.74m tall with measurements of 82-63-90. She has achieved a series of impressive accomplishments, including runner-up in The Face Vietnam 2018, winner of Supermodel Me 2021, and first runner-up in Miss Universe Vietnam 2024.
