New Delhi [India], April 3: India has officially become the world's third-largest solar power producer, with cumulative installed solar capacity reaching 143.6 GW as of February 2026, according to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) , following a record 37.8 GW of new solar capacity added in calendar year 2025, comprising 28.6 GW of utility-scale solar, 7.9 GW of rooftop installations, and 1.35 GW from off-grid systems, per JMK Research. India's total installed power capacity crossed 500 GW in September 2025, with non-fossil fuel sources now exceeding 51 percent of national installed capacity, per the Press Information Bureau.
The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana , backed by a total government outlay of Rs 75,021 crore and targeting one crore household solar installations by FY2027 , crossed three million installations as of early 2026, with Rs 13,464 crore in Central Financial Assistance disbursed by December 2025, per the Press Information Bureau. The Union Budget 2026-27 reinforced this momentum by raising MNRE's allocation by nearly 30 percent to approximately Rs 32,915 crore, committing Rs 22,000 crore to PM Surya Ghar, and formally extending customs duty exemptions on capital goods for battery energy storage systems. JMK Research projects India will add approximately 42.5 GW of new solar capacity in 2026.
India's solar growth is catalysing a fundamental shift in how households and businesses approach their energy systems. Consumers across Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Kerala are moving beyond basic grid-tied installations toward hybrid solar inverter systems that continue to power homes and businesses during grid outages. The demand for solar inverters with battery backup , systems that function as the solar inverter for power cuts that Indian households have long needed , is rising sharply as electricity tariffs increase and grid reliability remains inconsistent across states. India's solar inverter market, valued at approximately USD 909.76 million in 2025, is projected to reach USD 1,583.8 million by 2035 at a CAGR of five percent, per Market Research Future, with hybrid and storage-integrated systems emerging as the fastest-growing segment.

Mohammed Rinas Chenangadan, CEO and Director of Solaire Energy, said India's solar achievements mark the beginning of a more demanding chapter for the industry. "The question is no longer how much solar India installs , it is whether what gets installed works reliably for 25 years, across every grid condition India presents. The real opportunity in 2026 belongs to complete solar inverter systems built for power cuts, monsoon humidity, and peak tariff pressure. That is the standard our products are engineered to meet, across every configuration we offer," he said.
Solaire Energy, a Lagnuvo Initiative, is one of India's fastest growing solar inverter manufacturers, offering a complete range of on-grid string inverters, hybrid solar inverter systems, and solar inverters with battery backup designed for India's residential, commercial, and industrial energy requirements. The company's hybrid inverter range , including the X1-HYB-LV and GEN.X series , delivers 200 percent PV oversizing capability and a sub-4-millisecond grid switchover time, placing them among the best solar inverter options for power cuts in India. Solaire's systems have been market-proven in Kerala, which ranked fourth nationally in rooftop solar installations in 2025 with 105.2 percent year-on-year growth and a PM Surya Ghar application-to-installation conversion rate above 60 percent, against a national average of 22.7 percent (Mercom India, December 2025; IEEFA, July 2025). The company is actively expanding its distributor and installer network across Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu.
Every Solaire solar inverter system , on-grid, hybrid, and storage-integrated , is backed by a 10-year product warranty, underscoring the company's long-term service commitment to every distributor and household it serves. As India advances toward its 500 GW non-fossil fuel target by 2030, with a combined solar, wind, hybrid, and storage project pipeline of approximately 169 GW already in development per JMK Research, Solaire is building the product range, national distributor network, and after-sales infrastructure to serve as a trusted solar inverter manufacturing partner across India's full energy transition.
