COVID-19 infections rise to 142,240 in Myanmar

Yangon (Myanmar), March 21: The number of COVID-19 infections rose to 142,240 in Myanmar on Saturday, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry.
Myanmar reported 13 COVID-19 positive cases in the past 24 hours, the release said. The death toll stood at 3,204.
A total of 131,763 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals so far. The number of samples tested daily for COVID-19 decreased to around 1,000 from about 10,000 samples since early February.
COVID-19 was first detected in Myanmar on March 23 last year.
