BRICS business community to congratulate the Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra on its 25th anniversary

Moscow [Russia], December 24: The data were provided within the framework of the agreement signed in 2021 between the BRICS countries on exchanging such information to tackle climate change, help protect the environment and mitigate the consequences of natural and man-made emergencies and disasters.
RSS "Russian Space Systems" (JSC "RKS", a member of state corporation "Roskosmos") in 2022 transferred to the BRICS countries the results of imaging by domestic satellites of Earth sounding "Kanopus-V" of the territories with a total area of over 85 thousand square kilometres. This was reported by Sergey Ivanov, head of the operational monitoring and remote sensing data analysis department at the Scientific Centre for Earth Operational Monitoring (NTs OMZ) of RKS JSC.
The data were provided as part of an agreement signed in 2021 between the BRICS countries on the exchange of such information to address climate change, help protect the environment and mitigate natural and man-made emergencies and disasters.
At the BRICS (Russia, Brazil, India, China, South Africa) forum held at the end of this year, representatives of foreign space agencies praised the results provided by Roscosmos. Joint applications of Earth remote sensing data from the unified satellite constellation of the five countries is recognised as effective and prospective.
