Tel Aviv [Israel], October 9: The Global Sumud Flotilla humanitarian flotilla accused the Israeli military on October 8 of blocking at least three of its ships carrying relief supplies to the Gaza Strip , according to AFP.
Global Sumud Flotilla also wrote on social network X that another ship carrying more than 90 journalists, doctors and activists "was also attacked", while the crew on another ship "is being kidnapped by Israel".
Israel's move comes as it and Hamas have been holding indirect talks in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh since October 6, based on a 20-point plan proposed by US President Donald Trump last month. Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Turkish Intelligence Director Ibrahim Kalin, US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff and President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner are expected to attend the related talks in Egypt on October 8 (local time).
Previously, Hamas on October 7 announced its readiness to reach an agreement to end the conflin Gaza based on President Trump's plan, but wanted "guarantees from President Trump and the sponsoring countries that the conflict will end forever."
