Apr 07, 2020

London (United Kingdom), Apr 7: The British Open, one of the world's four major men's golf tournaments, has been canceled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The organizer announced on Monday that it explored every option for holding the event, but found it won't be possible.
It added that this is the first time since the Second World War that the golf championship has been canceled.
The Open Championship, also known as The Open, was first held in 1860. It's the oldest and the most prestigious golf tournament in the world.
This year's tournament was scheduled for July in Kent, southeastern England.
Meanwhile, the Masters Tournament, which is held every year at the Augusta National Golf Club in the US state of Georgia, has been postponed to November.
The PGA Championship has been rescheduled for August, and the US Open for September.
